These extra-wide leg shorts are so cute and comfy. They're great for summer and can be dressed up or down, funky or rugged for bouldering or traipsing in the tidepools. Yes the legs are v wide but that's the fun. They're true to size.
The shorts balloon out midway down the outer seam making them look a bit ridiculous. If you look carefully in the photos, the model has her hand in the pocket so the viewer can't notice the flair. In the photo from behind, her hand is pushing in on the fabric so that it doesn't flare out.

First of all, I love the quality of the denim and the construction of the shorts. Second, the shorts are a medium to light weight. I live where the summers get quite hot. These will be perfect. Last of all, the wide legs are roomy, but not so wide that I feel like I am wearing a skirt. I spend a good amount of time around kids...Let's just say that there isn't a need to wear bike shorts under these shorts. Well done Banana Republic Factory!

I love these shorts but they have big gapping in the waist if you usually buy curvy styles. Size down if you frequently struggle with gapping. They will be snug in the hips but fit better in the waist. For reference I am usually a size 26 with athletic legs and I returned these for a size 25.

The pros: loved the weight of the denim. Perfect for summertime! The big con: they were way too big at the bottom of the short. Almost bell like. It didn't look flattering on me.
