I'm 5'4" and wear a size 6. The length is perfect, no hemming required. They are high waisted, and look great with a thin belt. The pockets and buttons bring the pants up a level. I have beige and green, but would love to have more for summer. They are unfortunately sold out.
So, the overall the pant is pretty. Fabrics is thin, so I am not sure if will be transparent. The waist is small, I normally use size 12 from banana republic and for this I would bought size 14 or bigger. Consider buy a bigger number than yours.

The pants are nice and I like the color, but they too short. I'm 5'7 and they hit well above the ankle. If you are tall consider getting the tall sizing.

I wish for the Ponte pants without front pockets and more light twill high rise for the summer. A little less cropped pants and pull on pants. Less cropped shirts and more long sleeve shirts for summer. Every year the sun gets hotter and so cancer is on the rise
