This looks good on a slender body. Also, if you're postpartum, you may want to wear a tummy control garment as it doesn't really camouflage this part. When you pull this dress on, you have to tug at the lining to make sure the dress isn't bunching up in places--especially the back slit. But once ...you get it in place, it's fine. Also, if you're wearing a bra, you will have to hide the straps (or if you don't need one, get the petals). I wore a strapless bra and I don't think that worked out too well. In conclusion, the fabric is pretty (black) and looks great if you have the right body for it.
Like most middle-aged females, I don't have the fully flat stomach of my youth or those who've never had kids. The thing is, my bit of leftover skin from birthing 3 humans is pretty unobtrusive. Well NOT in this dress! For some reason it's gathered below the chest but above the natural waist and in ...such a way that it makes me look 2-3 mo pregnant. You can even see this effect on the model, and I can't believe I didn't notice. Both the xs reg & pet were fitted on my 32A 26" waist frame and I'm pretty much always an xxs at BR, so I'd say this runs small and would be harder to wear for the larger chested. All that being said, the material, even though it's a synthetic blend, is absolutely gorgeous - buttery soft (lining and velour outer) and quality thick/warm in a lovely, unique green. I really hope they come out with other pieces in this same material/color!

Beautiful lined dress. Lining bunches if you try to put it on over your head, but works perfect pulling it up from your feet. I wear a size 8 and the medium fit perfectly, snug but not tight.

Lovely, form-fitting dress. Well-made, comfortable and perfect for the winter wedding I'm attending. The lining of the dress does bunch up a teeny bit around the neckline (for me, anyway) and I have to adjust the top part of the dress carefully to keep it hidden. Might want to consider a strapless bra to wear with it as the neckline is quite wide. All in all, it's a great dress!

My only (very minor) qualm with an otherwise perfect dress is that it can be hard to hide nursing bra straps along this neckline. That's it. The fabric is soft, the shirring is adjustable, the fit is very flattering, I even nursed my baby comfortably through a whole Christmas concert while wearing the jam colored version of this dress. I found the sizing chart helpful, but can't speak to the differences between regular and petite sizing and whether it truly matters for this particular dress.
