So I got two pair of pants. One in the regular length and one in the petite length for reference on 5'2" 140 Lbs, not very curvy in the butt area but I do have a little belly. The small regular length was perfect for my body type, Although it was just a little bit long. Didn't mind that because I co...uld wear them with a lower heel or even a high heel. The material could be definitely dressed up, but remember that it has a drawstring. The rise on the small regular for me was mid - high-rise, but I'm normally a petite length and BR. When I tried on the petite SMALL, they were a little tighter in the waist, but definitely mid rise. So as you're looking decide if you have longer legs and a short tour so or if you have shorter legs and a normal or long torso, that'll determine whether the pants will be high-rise on you. As a natural fit, they are not high-rise as the review state, they are mid rise as the description states. Definitely get this pants just get your sizing right I love them!
Definitely more high rise than mid rise. Back pockets are large and low making the butt look flat and shapeless. I got an xxs petite. I am 4'10" and 90 lbs. The length is good for flats but I couldn't wear a heel or wedge with these. They aren't long enough for that. For reference, I have a very sho...rt torso and proportionately longer legs.
