This dress is beautiful. However the facing on the neckline doesn't sit properly. It keeps poking out. This happens when the facing is cut larger than the bodice. Then there is an extra stitch along the front seam to tuck the facing in place, pulling the seam out of alignment so it catches the eye. The armholes are large so bra and straps are exposed. I will have to have it properly fitted by shortening the arm holes at the shoulder. It needed a quality check.

I'm a C cup and didn't have the chest/shoulder issues st all with this dress - actually the opposite- it's flattering but maybe the smallest bit tight across the fullest part of the chest. At 5'7" the length was similar to the mode. Fossil is a great (hard to find) cool tone brown that will take me from late summer with sandals and into winter with a sweater and boots. I'm very pleased.

I ordered the striped dress in a XL, I have a larger bust (DD) area and it was indeed too big in the bust and arm area. Overall, the dress runs big however, wasn't cut properly in the other areas. I have countless dresses from BR in a L or XL, this is a first! I do like the material and the length.

I bought xxs. I'm 5'4" 32G 135lbs, the length where dress falls to is great. The straps are about and inch too long causing bunching on my back-when I pull up the straps the bunching goes away-if this dress offered in petite it would've been fine. The tan color is as shown in pic and I love it. My chest is squished, my midsection and everywhere else fits perfect. There is a weird lining that causes darts/lines in the bust which I don't like at all. The dress had potential. Back it goes.

The dress is overall great but there is stitching under the breast area that creates an odd line. I am unable to wear the dress by itself without something covering the line.

I tried this dress on today in XS, and I loved it except for the gaping in the armpita nd bust area. I am a triple D bust. It is a gorgeous dress so I might order in XXS.

I tried it on in the store and it is TTS; however, IF it is too big on the armholes, breast area, simply size down. I found when I sized down it actually pulled the whole dress up and fit perfectly. By it being shorter on top, it also pulled the waist higher and did not show my tummy. It is lined to the waist. Well made and very comfortable. 100% better than a straight tshirt dress. Yeah! Win, win!

Beautiful, simple summer dress. However, when I tried it on, the bust area gaped out around the underarm area very much as though somebody has worn the dress and returned it. Banana Republic needs to put tags on the outside or on the hems of the dresses so this doesn't happen.

I am almost always a medium and I sized down to a small because previous comments said that the bust was too large, I have a large bust and I am glad I sized down, I still have plenty of room in the small size. Pretty color green btw!

This is a gorgeous material and very well-made, but for some reason, the larger size has huge gaping space in the armpits. I thought about having it altered. But just sent it back instead.
