Snug fit which is welcome
The material is really nice but the top isn't cut correctly. It's too wide, too low and not enough material to cover on each side of the chest area. So odd. I tried to pull the front together by sewing it but that didn't work. I'm thinking to buy some material and have a seamstress sew it to cover ...the open area at tge top. Really disappointing because the idea is nice

Too much fabric on the gathered side area. It is a great design and it works for thinner material , but for velvet, it becomes a bunch of excess. Instead of taking away the imperfections it adds bulk, unless you are skinny like the model.

This is a beautiful top. The blue is a gorgeous blue. Compared to other tops, it's a bit tight in the waste and the neckline is a tad too low and wide but I decided to keep it because it's beautiful velvet. Keep in mind bra straps will show so I'm going to have to wear strapless or covered with a jacket that I won't take off.
