The top is very cute with the matching skirt, but the straps are too big for me and fall off of my shoulder. The top is also too big at my waist, so I will have to get it altered to look like it does on the model. For reference, I am 5'3", 115lbs and 32B bra size, and I got a size 0.
Let me start off by saying that the top is cute. I purchased the lilac one in store. Granted I have to say that the top was a epic fail the first time I tried it on. I chose a 0 and 2, i slipped on the zero and struggled to get it in and to then off. Went on to size 2 and same issue. Had the zipper ...been on the back instead of the side it would have been a hassle free issue. Both sized felt tight on the chest however that v section in the front opened up horribly. I looked like busting envelope..stuffed. It was bad. I had the lady at the store get me the 4 and then the 6. I did not even bother to try the 4 and went to the 6. Size 6 was roomier and easy to slip on. As a matter fact that v section layer flat and was quite flattering with my loose linen trouser. I regret to say that banana republic has significantly changed its sizing and it is not consistent. That has affected online buyers and pushed customers away from buying in store..I use to buy always from BR but the recent size changes has distanced me from this store. The top is beautiful but in a larger format, at least so you can freely move around and breathe. For reference I am 5'4 & 34C chest.
