I bought these in a 26 petite. I normally wear a 25, but I read that these are a little small in the waist and I'm glad I sized up. I bought this in a petite by mistake and they are super short. I had them altered to lengthen and take in on the sides because they were to wide for my frame and height.... I'm 5'2". They turned out ok with alterations, but I ordered a second pair in the regular length. I'll just have them taken in on the sides too. Overall, the pants are nice. The material is thick and I like the way they fit in front and on my backside. I think they run small in the hips and backside, but that works for me.
These jeans in the dark wash are a nice color. I agree with another review that they run small in the waist. I sized up to a 26 from my usual size 25 in jeans. I made the mistake of ordering a petite size 26, and they look ridiculously short and wide at the bottom. I'm having them altered by a seams...tress because there isn't a banana republic factory store close to me. I think the regular length would have worked for me, but they are still super wide. I'm only 5'2".

I purchased these because they are reminiscent of 1940s jeans. I love vintage and retro designed clothing and these fit the bill. My only complaint is the back waistband gap. I am not particularly curvy as my waist to hip ratio is less than 10 inches. These fit perfectly snug on my high and low hip, but the waistband is about an inch and a half too big. Not a huge deal but a little disappointing.

If you're 5' and under, skip these. They are too long even in petite size while the waist and hips fit too tight, and since the bottom has wide hem, you will not be able to tailor these and still have it look nice. Such a shame because the green color is so beautiful in these pants and exactly what I have been searching for a long time.

I was a little worried the waist would be tight according to other reviews but these were perfect on my 26" waist, 34" hips. Length was perfect as well and I'm 5'. I bought 2 p.
