The dress has a pretty color, but it fits on the longer side than pictured, so not quite midi but not quite maxi and it runs big (usually XL spilling into XXL, but the XL of this is pretty roomy giving it a bit so flattering fit).

Runs large on top and is full on the bottom. I sized down and ordered a small because I have a pear shape (size 10-12, 36B cup, 160 lbs.). The top now fits perfectly. I'm 5'7" and the length is midi as pictured. The fabric is stiff, lightweight, and not lined, but it is not transparent. The stiffness of the cotton fabric should help with wrinkles, but expect to run a steamer or iron over it before wearing. The navy stripe is dark and almost looks black. The 4 star rating is due to the stiffness and it being a bit oversized. Plus, the outlet store charges double what you pay online. Because of this, I drove a hour to return my original outlet purchase.

Great dress and fit. Gathering at the waist provides an attractive silhouette especially for high waisted ladies. It is Cotton, but as titled, it is Poplin which gives it a more crisp than soft finish.
