I'm really begging Banana Republic (both regular store and factory) to have some consistency in sizes within their OWN brand. I get there's variability from size to size, but lately every time I order something it's not what I expect. I even ordered two of the same sweater from the regular store last month but in different colors and THOSE fit differently (in a very noticeable way). For this dress, it said it ran large. I usually run an XL in banana and if it runs large, a large might fit better. Well I ordered a large and it's enormous. I'd need a medium if I wanted to keep it.

Size ordered: Petite Large (first round) and Petite Medium (second round). Colors: Black and Pink Striped. The fabric and length are great but the top runs large. I am Apple body shaped and the PL sat too loose on the torso and low on the bust. The PM feels better but I think I could've possibly sized down to a small. Unfortunately, because I ordered the Large size first and the Medium did not get here in time, I had the wear the larger size to my event. The good news is the dress washes/dries well and does not shrink. The pink is actually off white with light pink, grey, and yellow stripes.
