I love the color and pattern of this sweater. But the description is a bit misleading. First the sweater is cropped. I don't mind it but I didn't know when buying it. Second, as with many sweaters out there that are not made of 100% natural fibers, the yarn doesn't look good after a few times I wore... it. Also, it is a very thick sweater, for cold temeratures.
I purchased this sweater. I usually love my Banana Republic Factory store purchases. I waited to wear this till it was cold. I wore the sweater to teach a 3 hour class. During class, I had to stop lecturing to pull pills off of the sweater. It became a joke with my class. Thinking theses were ...just loose threads, I followed the tag directions and washed the sweater. Big mistake. I had to clean my washer from the amount of loose threads which came off. My washer was clogged. I love the look and softness but you will find these threads on any clothing which touches the sweater.

Soft at first right out of the package. After one wash, the entire thing sheds CONSTANTLY. I have this sweater in multiple colors - this happened to every single one. The lint and fallout and shedding will stick to all of your dark colored clothing and accessories. Excessive shedding even after 10+ washes. I've followed all care instructions. Poor quality. Do yourself a favor and do not buy unless you want all your clothes covered in shedding from these sweaters.

I wrote a good review but the piling that followed was overwhelming. I wanted to love because it is soft and warm but the piling. Did I mention the piling? I wear at home but get annoyed at Banana Republic due to the piling. I have never seen piling like this…never.
