I'm 5'6" with an athletic build: narrow hips and lean, toned legs. I do not have an hourglass figure and might be considered to a have a "boyish" figure. These pants are great with wedge heel shoes, whether closed toed or sandals. I prefer comfort and style, but I image these pants would also look... great with any heeled shoes besides wedges. They are very comfortable while looking professional, polished, and sleek. The wide leg cut elongates and creates a great silhouette while standing or walking. These pants are machine washable and do not require ironing if you hang them directly from drying on a low setting. I own these in several colors, and they are super practical with 4 total functional pockets. The only thing they lack are belt loops. It would be nice to cover up the back elastic with a belt.
The wide-leg Hayden pants had become my favorite pull-on pants recently. I wear a size 12, and the opening was wide enough to pull over my hips but not so large that it wouldn't stay up around my waist. These lettered sizes are AWFUL. First, I bought a L based on the size chart. The pants gather...ed around my hips because they were too big in the waist. I didn't think a M would fit, but I gave it a try anyway because I loved the deep sea teal and the material was beautiful. As expected, the opening was too small to pull over my hips. I returned both pair. Banana Republic, please go back to numbered sizes--this new fit is TERRIBLE.

These are the classiest, most beautiful pants on, however! They are so uncomfortable! Cheap polyester with no liner, therefore the inside stitching cause itching & chafing. The waist is kind of small, but the overall fit is big. They were final sale so I wasn't able to return them

Ugh, these are so gorgeous. I absolutely love the fit. Be prepared to fight your way into them, but once they've made it past the hips, they fit perfectly.

True to size, though a little snug at the hips when putting them on. I'm a Medium, 5'9", and ordered a size 10 — they fit perfectly once on. Very classy and comfortable. The blue color is gorgeous! I'm already thinking about getting more in other colors. Highly recommend!

This is a great pant because it has the cut and drape a high-end trouser…with the comfy benefit of an elastic waist! Because the front is styled with a flat waistband and faux fly, you can totally tuck in your top and add a belt and it will look exactly like a trouser - but feel much softer and comfier. The ivory color is nice and the fabric is substantial, not too thin or see-through. I will pair this with the ivory blouse with shirted shoulders and big cuffs from this season - and would be perfectly dressed for either an important meeting/presentation at work or an elegant event or evening out. Great purchase at full price, even better on sale!
