I don't know why the other reviews are so low. It has a definite shape to it which contours to the body nicely hides small lumps, and bumps. Yes, it is thick which makes it great for a cold weather dress. I don't think it's too thick-it's definitely not thin cardigan material. It's beautifully made ...& cut and the arms might be long but when I tried it on in the store, the cuffs were turned up and it looked really cute.
Ordered a medium, my usual size, and a petite since the photo shows it hitting mid-calf and I'm 5'6". Ordered the navy. The medium was quite roomy, almost shapeless from the side, and the length was still long, so the overall effect was dowdy rather than timeless and chic. The fabric is soft and ...stretchy. Returning.

Just okay. Very thick/warm and beautiful color, but the weight of the dress makes it hang a bit odd and look overly bulky for a dress. Sleeves are extremely long. Can't return as I bought it on sale and at a super inexpensive price, so I still plan to wear it next winter to church simply for the warmth. I bought a small and wished I had purchased the XS. I'm 5-4, 125.

This dress is a very heavy knit - it feels almost too substantial. But that means it hangs REALLY well, and is exceptionally flattering. The cables are figure enhancing. I'm very short, but this dress is a fantastic length, low calf. If you are tall, it may genuinely hit "midi," below the knee. But I love the length! Really excited to wear this when temps get back above zero.

I hesitated because of negative reviews, but this is gorgeous – just like the picture. However, it IS far thicker & heavier than it looks – I noticed how much it weighed coming out of the package! I love to be WARM, so I love this! It's soft, warm, and furry, with beautiful colors. And it runs generous, but a lot of sweater dresses run tight lately, so I'm happy with this one.
