This tote bag is so nice! The leather is so soft! Perfect size and shape!
Love the look and functionality of this tote for work! However, after a couple of days the lining has already started to crack. Glad I didn't pay full price but disappointed nonetheless. Even on sale would not purchase again due to the longevity.
I received this bag as a gift and was extremely disappointed by the quality. After using it only twice, the finished edges began cracking and peeling before the bag had even developed any normal character from wear. After checking the approximately $200 price, I expected considerably better materials and workmanship. While I understand that vegan leather may wear differently from genuine leather, cracking and peeling after only two uses is not reasonable at this price point. Because it was received as a gift and I do not have the original receipt or order information, I do not appear to have any practical way to return or exchange it. That makes the premature deterioration especially disappointing. A gift at this price point should not feel essentially disposable after two uses. Based on its durability, I would not recommend this bag. I hope Banana Republic is a company that stands behind the quality and value of its products. I have personally spent a considerable amount in the store recently and, until now, have not had reason to question the quality of my purchases. I would appreciate the company addressing this issue and restoring my confidence in the brand.
