I love this dress! I bought it in white to wear while on a cruise and it goes with everything in my closet so I knew I'd get a lot of wear from it. I know people are upset about the back being detached, but I love it! I'm 5 feet so I ordered the petite size large with is my normal size. It hits the ...perfect area and the cotton is very comfortable. I came back to get the dress in navy now and I will be wearing these dresses all spring and summer. I just love how the back is, it didn't expose skin, but you still get a breeze. If you're having a hard time coping with the open back, it's a quick sew.
I purchased this before the other person put their review lol but they nailed it to a T. It's like putting on a frumpy apron, the back is FULLY detached which I didn't know, nor would've guessed based on the pictures. The straps do bunch immediately and I had a very difficult time getting them taut... enough before they go through the side loops to tie in the back. I'm normally a size L/12 and this fit a half size too big. Not quite big enough for me to order a different size But enough for me to question if I look frumpy in it. Also the navy blue stripes look more black but that's kinda whatever

Beautiful dress. Not see through. I just did not know what I was getting into. The only reason I docked a point was because it didn't quite warn of how this dress is. The back is really wrapped around and the under bust part us part of the wrapping and ties the dress together as the back would otherwise be open and flapping. The skirt portion is only help on to the entirety of it by the front portion. The top of the skirt back is elastic.

I was so disappointed to find some significant updates to this dress that looked so similar to the prior year's version. The open back renders it useless as what would otherwise be a great summer work dress. The design is needlessly complicated and the fabric is so thin and see through instead of previously nice starchy versions.

I bought the blue striped dress in petite medium. The dress looks beautiful and the material is soft. The back of the top is not attached to the skirt. So I made a quick fix by sewing the mid part (3 inches) of the back section to the back of the skirt to prevent from showing skin. I love the fitting and the uniqueness of this dress. For reference: I am 5 feet weigh 116lbs.

I wanted to love this - it looked so good online. But as others have noted, that open back is weird, and I honestly think this is the most unflattering dress I've ever purchased. The wrap in the front is just awful if you're short and I'm only 5 feet tall - it looked like my bust was sitting on a shelf. I'm sure it would look beautiful if you're tall with no chest - otherwise... not. I'm sad - it went back already.

This dress should come with instructions on how to wear it. The website pictures do not let you know that the dress is open in the back. I thought I was purchasing a pretty shirt dress but was met with a confusing contraption that does not work for women with a larger chest. The ties don't seem as long as the pictured dresses as well.
