Not exactly sure why I got a small. Take size 26/27 in jeans but waist was enormous (like an xl) Took in (made two pleats in front with sewing machine) about 2-3 inches at the waist and then looked good. Because back is elastic, still could slip on over my hips. Reminds me of a pair I had in the 80s.... Very comfortable and flattering for something that is relatively baggy, but I'm guessing I should have gotten XXS. Good if you have an ample derrière Have not laundered yet
I don't care for the appearance of high waisted anything on myself. Probably due to my short frame and large chest. The fabric was decent, a little scratchy and lighter color slightly see through. Must be ironed otherwise looks a mess. Got a medium.

The fabric of the shorts seemed nice, a bit thin but not see-through in the black (might be a bit sheer in lighter colors); the fit didn't work for me though, too much fabric in the legs on my frame so it flared out and looked more like a skirt. It just wasn't for me, I'm sure they would be great for someone else #sweepstakes

These are a great linen blend, very breathable and they do stretch a little where you put pressure on them on the legs or crotch but the waistband has stayed tight. Very flattering fit!
