This sweater is all cotton, which I love. It does fit slimmer but isn't tight. I thought the Medium would fit me because of prior reviews but it clearly looked like I was wearing the wrong sized clothing. The Small fits perfectly. I will wear this over a lighter material shirt or a sleeveless bl...ouse during cooler evenings, inside air conditioned restaurants or when traveling. It laundered perfectly and 5 min in the dryer released the deeper wrinkles before I ironed out the rest. I paired it with jeans for a casual work day then dinner out and looked polished all day! I bought several colors & am looking forward to wearing them, especially when I need a sweater that's not heavy or bulky.
I have several of the Forever V-Necks; I love them. They wear well, fit well, they're versatile. BRF has basic colors that are available all the time and they also come out with new colors a couple of times a year. When I first started buying these, I purchased a medium. Just this year, I was in... a local BRF and liked a color but the medium was out of stock in the store. I tried the small and it actually seemed to fit better! I ended up buying that one and ordering another small online. Now Fall is here and there are some beautiful new colors. I ordered the small and it's not close. It's like the whole sweater shrank. It may even be a little thinner. (for reference it was the Teal and the Berry) I'll reorder in the medium, but it just seems like something has changed. In the same shipment, I ordered the Forever V-neck cardigan in Medium in Charcoal and that was approximately 4" shorter than my Medium Navy one. I hope this isn't a new BRF trend....

I really loved the weight of this sweater. It came in the mail and I put it on right away and went out to the store. After an hour or so I started to smell like B.O. got home and washed the sweater and it started to smell worse. I had two other colors and I tried those. Same thing happened. It was not me. The fabric is weird and smells. I had to throw away all 3 colors.

I have an older version of the forever sweater in navy and really like it. It shrunk a bit in the dryer to become a perfect fit, it's survived about six years. This new fabric composition feels more luxurious. Soft, silky, and likely more eco-friendly. However, it is a bit oversized. I ordered an XS, and am hoping it shrinks similarly to the previous version. For reference I am 5'5" and 130lbs, so this may for petite or thin women.

I bought 3 of these sweaters as a classic staple to my wardrobe. I am pleased with my choice! The fabric is soft and comfortable. The bottom band of the sweater allows the sweater to sit just below the waist with a slight fold over, or easily tucks into pants. I bought white (actually it's cream), black and blue.

When I see the label, "Banana Republic", regardless of factory or not, I expect quality. This is what I have known all my life, Gap, Banana, Old Navy...But with these sweaters, I have been disappointed with the pilling. I expect much more because there is a reputation to protect...but in the last couple of years, I have not been excited to purchase anything from any of the brands. Please go back to the way it use to be...Pilling is not becoming.

Comfortably slightly big: Big enough where you can eat without feeling like you look bloated but made well where it's still fitted
