This is such a perfect sweater that I somehow accumulated it in black, gray, navy, salmon, and different shades of green…and still eye more when it goes on sale. The fabric is very comfortable directly on my skin. I wash in cold gentle cycle and hang dry. I iron to smooth it out, but I think if you ...dry completely flat it should be okay after shaking it out a bit. I have also accidentally put it in the dryer on medium heat and it survived, although I imagine it might create holes if I keep doing that with other clothes. At 5'5" and 135 pounds, I got a medium because I like a slightly looser fit. It's not baggy on me, but just enough not to be skin tight. Great sweater overall.
The new Forever Sweater is far different from the previous version! Perhaps you will prefer this version; I did not. Again, these are just my opinions, and I know not everyone will agree. 1) Just looking at it, immediately the fabric looks, well, cheap! The content is not the same. The previous s...weaters had a much finer knit to them and looked a bit dressier. These look extremely casual, and something about them seemed 'dull' 2) The new neckline is a very thin band, which adds to an inexpensive, cheap look. 3) The fit, the sweater, due to the fabric just sort of hangs there, has a boxy fits in both the bodice and even the sleeves. 4) The banding at the bottom of the sweater seemed to have no stretch and just sort of hung there. I have ordered several of these sweaters and cardigans in the past, have several in the same color (mostly in neutral colors) and was going in for a restock. I ordered another 12 just to have on hand, as I can wear them almost 10 months of the year. These new sweaters just don't have the BRF quality even at the discounted price. Love these sweaters, have in 3 colors. Size up if you want a slightly slouchy modern fit. Love that they are not cropped and slightly longer but band helps stay at your waist. I'm not long waisted but am 5'7'. Also I've had 2 for a year and they've held up.

Banana Republic is offering well-made clothes in nice fabrics that fit as expected when you order your traditional size. Most of the clothes are noticeably reduced in cost and sometimes an extra bonus reduction appears in your cart making almost everything I bought a steal. I have not returned anything I have received and intend to make BR my go to place for my wardrobe.
