While the bag is lovely, it is bizarrely enormous. I had been dying for it to arrive so I was shocked to see it in person and returned it.
Love the red for a change vs beige bags. Agree that it is huge but will work for beach items. Also glad it has a liner. A very nice design and looks more expensive than it is.

I think this bag is going to work okay. After reading other comments some like the the insert. I want to use it as a beach bag. The lining insert may reduce how much can go in the bag (ex. beach towel). It's super cute and well made. I'm going to make it work.

Really like this Banana Republic straw market tote. It's the perfect oversized bag for both work and weekends. I can fit all of my daily essentials for the office, but it still feels stylish and effortless enough for brunch, errands, or vacation. Love my totebag!
Over the last couple of years, I have bought two straw tote bags similar to this and used them all summer long and loved them. First one was Tobacco, the second one was a variegated blue and white. The only problem with them was that there was no lining so it was possible for "things" to stick out of the weave, like keys, maybe even lose things, like pens. It was a consistent comment in the reviews. Well, someone paid attention because this bag has a liner! I bought the black multi. I haven't used it yet but at a glance it appears the handles are a little shorter. I hope the lining doesn't take away from the amount of stuff I can tote. At least I won't have to worry about small things escaping thru the weave or sticking out and poking people as I walk past them lol. We shall see…
