I like the lightweight modest stretch fabric for office Work. These should be great spring summer and fall. However, I am 5'8", 165-170lbs, age 58 with a pooch now that makes me look about 6 mos prego. I can still wear my 10 and 12 jeans and other pants but for some reason this style really hates my... stomach. I made it through work the other day in a size 10 and decided that was not sustainable so I ordered 12 tall and 12 regular. None of those are working either - the pockets really pull and gap, its still too tight in the rear. Normally a tall size hits me proportionally different and works much better, but the talls in this pant are actually slightly smaller around the midsection. So I'm probably going to send everything back to try a 14, but if I have to go to a 16 it's a heck no. I have never worn a 16 in my life.I really want to love these because they seem like they will wear like iron and keep the look reasonably polished. If you don't have a potbelly, and have an athletic rectangular figure like I used to have , I highly recommend them. If you are struggling post menopause, like I am, this one may challenge you a bit.

They recently changed the fabric blend and the product details say it is an upgrade but it is a massive downgrade. The fabric looks cheap and pet hair a...nd fuzzies cling to the pants like crazy - despite lint rolling I feel like they are always covered in cat fur. The old fabric blend looked polished and sleek - cat hair was never an issue as the fabric seemed to repelled pet hair. Additionally it looks like some of the coloring is fading around certain areas like the waist band and zipper cover - which makes it look like the pants are dirty. Please bring back the old fabric blend! I will no longer be repurchasing unless they bring the old fabric blend back.

These are a great basic office wear pants. The fabric is great quality, the cut is flattering and comfortable if you order the right size. I have purchased this cut of dress pants for years but always wore a size 4. I don't know what happened this year but the fours are now fitting like a 2. I had to order size 6 for the pants to fit the same as these pants that I ordered two years ago and still wear it as if banana republic has reduce the sizes by a full size. Other than that, I have no complaints. They look very professional and flattering, but beware, the sizes are cut smaller this year.
